Marketa Vondrousova (born 28 June 1999) is a Czech tennis player. The Women’s Tennis Association has given her a career-high ranking of world No. 14. (WTA). Vondrouosova was runner-up at the 2019 French Open, becoming the tour’s first teenage Grand Slam finalist since Caroline Wozniacki over a decade ago. She has one singles title from four WTA Tour finals and a silver medal from the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Vondrousova is a two-time Grand Slam doubles champion and former world No. 1 junior. Vondrousova and partner Kristina Mladenovic reached the final of the Italian Open in doubles, defeating the second-seeded pairing of Barbora Krejková and Kateina Siniaková in the quarterfinals and wildcard pair Sara Errani and Irina-Camelia Begu in the semifinals. They were defeated in the final by the alternate pair and first-time WTA 1000-level winners, Giuliana Olmos and Sharon Fichman.
