His bio

The US actor was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 17, 1967. Conrad is the last of three children (all boys) born to an engineer father, James Watson Conrad, and his beautiful librarian wife, Margaret Clement Conrad.

He is the great-grandson of a renowned electrician, engineer Frank Conrad. David grew up on the Edgewood border and attended Swissvale High School before transferring to Kiski School, an all-boys preparatory school in Saltsburg, Pennsylvania.

He graduated from high school in 1985 and headed to Brown University where he studied history and acted for a time before leaving school to work as a freelance teacher.carpenter, then house painter, barista and even interviewed steelworkers for a historical society in Pittsburgh. David Conrad’s feature debut was actually a small role in a 1994 film Under Heat. In 1996, he landed the role of Leo Roth in the television series Relativity. At the time he landed this role, he was engaged in a Tom Stoppard production in Pittsburgh.
